Maria Ortiz, born and raised in Boston, MA has been a long time supporter of the Underground Hip Hop Movement and young people.
One day she came across this "Crazy" Breakdancer that had these great dreams of taking his artwork and creating a clothing line. With her business experience and his talent they created New B Wear.
Her goal is to set up a clothing store under New B Wear that will combine the Underground Hip Hop Movement with opportunities for inner city young people to display their artwork whether it be painitings, drawings, or music.
Maria continues to be the driving force behind the scenes moving New B Wear forward while her partner Crazy Freddy continues to be the face of New B Wear.
"Thanks to everyone that continues to be supportive of our work and willing to give a helping hand when needed."
Thank you for your interest in NEW B WEAR.
New B Wear has been in business since 2001.
Our goal is to continue to demonstrate to the general public that the Culture of Hip Hop can be a positive avenue for young people to express their artistic talent by educating them on the different elements of Hip Hop.
We work to provide entrepreneurial opportunities for young people and young adults in the Hip Hop Culture.
Over the last eight years we have worked with several non-profit organizations to provide a venue space for breakdancing events. We bring together dancers from all over the country and internationally to compete over the course of two days for cash and prizes.
We do this because we love the sense of community and the family created within this culture. Everyone belongs, everyone is free to create, everyone learns form one and another and even though the dance battles are aggressive and fierce at the end we are all family.
